I feel comfortable knowing that there’s always a first time. And it’s almost like every single person that’s succeeded immensely just broke rules by not knowing what they were doing [in the beginning]. It’s like the phenomena of the poker player who has no idea what he’s doing but somehow every so often still wins. By reinventing a wheel that may have been incredibly broken already…and creating new processes out of nothing.

…And every meeting I go into I say, thank you so much for taking the time. I’m super excited to be here, you could have met with a thousand other companies but you chose to meet with me…thank you so much. I’m grateful. If you try to be something that you’re not, people will see through it immediately. And when people witnessed me admitting I had no idea what I was talking about, people saw that and wanted to help.
